Colonel Mack W. Curry II

Curry IIColonel Mack “Shac” Curry serves as Deputy Director for Targeting Joint Staff Directorate for Intelligence (J2), the Pentagon, Washington D.C. he leads 25 military and civilian personnel in direct support of the Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Staff Director of Intelligence, and Director of Operations as Department of Defense lead for all aspects of targeting; including operations and plans, doctrine and policy, automation tools and training. He also advises senior Office of the Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff decision makers on current targeting system capabilities, future requirements, and initiatives.

Colonel Curry received his commission from the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps through the University of Kansas in 1996.  He served in a variety of staff positions to include the Secretary of the Air Force Legislative Liaison office and Joint Staff Plans and Policy (J-5) as a Strategic Planner, Executive Assistant to the J-5 Chief of Staff and Headquarters Air Combat Command Intelligence Unit Support Division Chief. Colonel Curry has deployed in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, DESERT FOX, ALLIED FORCE, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. He served as the Commander of the 30th Intelligence Squadron, DGS-1.  In addition, Colonel Curry was the Deputy Commander of the 432nd Operations Group, Creech AFB Nevada.  Most recently, he was commander of 363rd Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group, Joint Base Langley-Eustis.
